I have a problem with how uv stretching gets shown to me, in Blender.
it's confusing af.
e.g. add a cylinder. divide it in half with a loop cut. add a crease to the dividing edge. add a different texture to each half of the cylinder. go into the uv editor and select one island. scale it.
my problem with this: both islands change color, visually telling me there's stretching happening on the entire cylinder, as i scale.
YET, i only see stretching occurring on one of the textures of the cylinder.
so, blender's effectively lying to me.

I don't get the problem. It is good both islands are changing colors. It is telling you the size of the islands is not consistent with each other, i.e they need to be averaged
i'm a newbie at all things blender, but do they need to be averaged when you're using a different texture for each island?
show a picture of the uv editor and the cylinder. Your instructions are not clear for me.
