Save seperate and Link function
It would be really good if blender implement things like Saving the selected object to a sepearate file and at the same time relink those selected object in the scene in a single action/hotkey. Specially helpful if the scene became larger and start lagging. helpful in the large environment scenes. i think CTRL SHIFT S will be right choice, this will create a habit of artist to save the file in the different chunks and when his library is created he can get rid of bigger file size while importing those object, in long term his asset browser will also dont have to load those bigger files. but the process of saving selected should be seamless without so much option and prompt, it should just ask the name of new file and save it to the same location as the original file.

This kind of reminds me of functions like in AfterEffects where you can be working in one composition, then choose to 'Pre-compose' it and embed it inside a new composition. That's a pretty good analogy to what you're describing, if I'm understanding you correctly.
yes it is something like, the live geometry takes space in RAM and also processor speed while while doing other stuff. Same functionality in REVIT is names as "Families" because working on small object for detailing is a different thing and working on large landscape scenes is different. this way with each project revit user have pretty good amount of assets (a single drop of water fills the whole pot) and this is what we lacks in blender (good assets) but after we create for ourselves we can share our assets with other people as well. the function name can be "export collection" with tick box to relink the collection.
