RCS | Auto Archive Topics/ Add "Archived" Filter
What the problem
Nowadays I see one issue with RCS - too much...
Too much of "low quality" (poorly explained/no mockups, duplicates, etc... ) suggestions which get only few votes. Too much - like I come to check RCS and whole first page covered in suggestion of 1 day time range, second page look same and most of stuff isn't really interesting.
In the long run it cause stack of thousands of such 1- 3 votes suggestions and too hard to find something valuable among them.
What proposed
I propose automatically archive suggestions if they not get 7 positive votes (burning status) during 7 days (one week). Also redesign a bit interface and add "Archived" checkbox to be able to filter content by this status.
Then sugetion will not be removed, it just change status. Author will see that maybe it need to explaine suggested better or add some images, etc.
You think it's unfair? I think 7 days is fair enough period to see if suggested thoughts did not attract attention of community (at least 7 people). I did archived my own suggetions by myself when I thought that suggested not interesting to people.
As always - thanks for reading. Also you can check my other suggestions .

Maybe add link for your suggestion here blender.community/c/today/JP1g/ as it related to the new design
But it only about RCS votes/readability. I don't know... never posted anything on Blender Today. Feel free to repost if you want/have time.
The main problem currently is that we don't have the old Hot sorting yet. So everything is shown cronologically, both good and bad content.
The way Hot sorting works, it looks at the amount of points in a certain amount of time, so if a post get votes quickly, it means it's hot stuff. The same way the other way around, if a post gets downvoted more than upvotes, it will get buried down the list faster.
We are working on it and we hope to release it today/tomorrow.
PS: The "Archived" status also needs rethinking, it's not tied to the development of a task, I'll discuss this with Francesco. Thanks for the feedback!
It's not so much about hot spoting as you describe, it's more about "to find something". Even find via search - some obvious "viewport" searh give so many results so I have to click load more 19 times to approach end of the list. Lot of stuff in this search results can be filtered.
