Custom Attributes for curves

With the addition of the Named Attribute node in Blender 3.2's geometry node arsenal, it is now possible to access more geometry data more easily without the need for a specific node. For meshes this includes group weights and color, which can both be set from the viewport, per-vertex. Screenshot 2022-06-09 073356.png However, curves lack per point data outside of their radius and tilt. My proposal is either adding an Attributes dropdown to the properties panel, much like that of geometry, or a dropdown more similar to that of the Vertex Group one. The core idea is being able to set these attributes in the viewport on a per-point level.

2.png Considering the amazing potential curves have for geometry node setups, I think this would be an excellent edition. For a good starting point, adding this functionality to float attributes would be more than enough. In the future it can be expanded to things like color, which might potentially allow shading of curve geometry in interesting ways. Optionally, giving a specific attribute certain limits (Min, Max) would also be appreciated.
