Camera Filters

Like meshes have a "Modifier" stack, or Grease pencil objects have "Effects", Cameras may have a "Filters stack".

What this would do is allow to stack camera visual adjustments and effects one after another without the need of using the compositor. Hue and saturation, Brightness and contrast, Blur, lense distortion, Vignette, Camera raw filter, color balance, noise, etc.

This can easily be implemented as an add-on that sync the changes to the compositor. I don't think we should add this to blender core as it suggests a different system, but actually is only a different workflow.

Real-time compositor is planned: developer.blender.org/T91293

In that direction, but not the same thing. The proposal is not for the global compositor nodes to be displayed in the viewport. It's for a modifier like per camera filter stack. No nodes.

but then again , those few values could just be a standard option of a camera without any need for a modifier stack, especially since many of the values dont make sense used multiple times

Sure, many of these values would only be used once, but the order in which they can be used matters. For example - Camera grain and then blur, or first blur then add camera grain? Vignette first, or bloom? If it was in a modifier-like stack, they can be reordered.

Per-Camera compositing would be a good start to begin with. Right now there's no simple way of having a different compositor workflow for each camera view of the scene, other than to keyframe animate changes in camera angles, and keyframe animate mixing between compositor node groups.
