Yes This Will Be More Convinent
I like the idea, but Blender seems to not let you change global preferences from anywhere but the preferences menu (how would you deal with saving?), so this would then have to be per-file (which could be more convenient in some cases).
Hi Enord, in the animation I have made, I use an addon for this function. So I think it seems to be possible. It seems it saves the preferences immediately, when I switch the interpolation in the N-Panel.
If it does autosave the preferences, that is a large issue: preferences should only be saved if the user presses the
save preferencesbutton, as it already is in Blender. What if someone opens blender with default preferences to debug something, then changes this setting. Poof! the old preferences disappear and are replaced by the (nearly) default ones. I think this would be best as a per file setting, with the default being 'follow preferences'.However, the Auto Save setting can be freely selected by everyone in the Preferences. Everyone can decide for themselves whether it should be enabled or disabled. By default Auto Save Preferences is enabled in Blender. So any change at any setting could easily be overwritten. But I agree with you, this function could also be a per file setting.
Yes we need this asap!
