Improve Find Missing Files

At the moment, a blender search for missing files is very inconvenient. Especially if the files are located in different folders and on different hard drives. You need to start the Report Missing File, then look at the ways to Missing Files, and take turns starting the Find Missing File dialogue, go to the folder with Missing Files and press OK. And repeat this action many times for each path. One of the solutions is to add the Subfolder search option in Find Missing File dialogue. Or another solution is a special window where you can replace the paths to folders.

Subfolders are already included in the search:

Find Missing Files

In case you have broken links in a blend-file, this can help you to fix the problem. A File Browser will show up. Select the desired directory (or a file within that directory), and a search will be performed in it, recursively in all contained directories . [...]

I guess you really have to select a folder for it to search recursively though.

That being said I also think it would be nice to have some form of display of all external files (may it be images, linked blends, ...) with their paths, file size, and show indicators when the path is broken, and tools to granularly update paths e.g. for a selection of files and whatnot.

Imagine if we could have something like this in the Outliner:

I totally agree, this is honestly super weird 😕How has no one noticed this till now? The Missing Files feature in Blender really needs an upgrade. It should clearly show what's missing and let users search for stuff manually. Also, there should be more helpful options added. It's kinda crazy 🤦‍♂️ how such an important feature is still this outdated 😤
