Set empties to custom colors
Simple proposal. In the settings menu of an Empty, include a color picker that allows you to set what color the empty is drawn as.
While the default black is fine 90% of the time, I've been losing empties a lot in darker scenes and it's getting frustrating

Totally, and also line thickness
Colored wireframes on anything would be great, it currently is only available in wireframe mode, but we would need this in all mode, and colour should be a base UX target for empties.
I always welcome cosmetic/color features
as someone who sometimes abuses empty objects as controllers, it would be * really * nice to color code them
