Modifier sets.
This has been doing my head in lately. Doing a lot of experimenting with different shapes and having to reapply my modifiers on new objects is just really annoying.
Or realizing that you wanna change a global bevel on alot of different objects etc.
Enter modifier set/group.
Make your modifier stack. Save it. Then if you wanna apply it to another object. Just pick your unique modifier set from the dropdown.
Now. I can't code at all. But figured someone out there might want to make something like this happen since it seems (to me) obviously super usefull?

I think Everything Nodes will make this possible.
You should probably have a look at the Copy Attributes add-on and how it allows you to copy modifiers from one object to another.
In the past, it was part of the original design that modifiers would be more like datablocks: linkable between multiple objects. That was never implemented, but perhaps it should be explicitly added back to the roadmap.
@Jason van Gumster: If modifiers transition to becoming node like data blocks and objects able to work with those nodes, then the system wouldn't be needed. The concept of having sets is nice though, without needing to select a parent object to copy from.
I always add this issue too. Until I use the copy modifiers from copy properties addon :)
hm i wonder if this would already be possible with the presets concept. anyone knows if that is possible for such a application?
