The "Append" can support by drag from the Blender File Browser

Now, you can append by the file menu. but if we can browser the data blocks by the blender file browser and can drag the data blocks into the 3d view, it will be very very good. for example, if you want append one object or the materials, just drag from the blender file into the 3d view or materials properties, it so nice, please.

And maybe can drag with the Ctrl to link data blocks :D

How would it work if the user wants to link rather than append? Also, what would happen if the user dragg-appended a datablock that doesn't show in the 3D View (like text from scripts, actions, or mesh data with no host object)?

wow, blender have lots data blocks , it will be very complex in detail, this just a little idea for import object or material much more quickly and easy, the image link: i.imgur.com/hm23SBH.png

you know, it's will be very useful for the asset library with .blend file, and the blender already support data previews, sorry my English :)

This is definitely something that is worth mentioning in the main proposal.
