Multiple Color Management inputs possible when compositing in the VFX workspace

When doing VFX, it's best to work with the raw footage that you shot, so that you won't have to match color grade, match sharpness etc. It's also best to shoot in LOG. But when working in blender, you can't really do this very effectively when doing things like 3d camera tracking because of having only one color management input because, if you have the color management set to "Filmic", your footage will look terrible because you shot in LOG and then blender is trying to turn it LOG all over again. But if you made the color management to be "Standard", then the render would appear much more highly contrasty and saturated than the footage you tracked. But if you color grade your footage, you loose detail, loose workability etc. So what I'm wanting, is the ability to create several color managements in blender so that you could apply different color managements in the compositing tab. What I'm envisioning, is the ability to pick between the different color managements with each import media node (movie clip, image, render layers etc.) like you pick between scenes on the nodes. This would be greatly advantageous for VFX compositors using blender to do things like 3d camera tracking.

I posted such a question in the last Q&A but unfortunately Pablo skipped my question without replying to it. I've also made that suggestion on RCS here but didn't get a lot of likes for it.

So, yes. This is much needed. I don't need it for the very same reason than you do, but I want to work in sRGB while having my rendering exported in Filmic color space. Filmic is great for preserving tones , yet it looks horrible in the viewport.

Feel free to like my suggestion as well ... Link

I'll try to ask the question again in the next Q&A. This deserves the attention of the developers. It can't be too hard to implement.

* @cotooleimages * Hard to understand, that only a handful of people care. Probably it's not "shiny" enough.
