Option to not duplicate animation when duplicating objects

It'd be very nice to have an option in the animation preferences to not copy the animation data, as many times we need a copy of an object for other purposes that don't require the animation, or anyway for having a faster "blank" state for animating.

I think there are options somewhere in the Blender preferences to chose which data is duplicated or not

* @-L0Lock- * What you are talking about is duplicate data, which is different: basically tells blender when you duplicate an object either to keep other elements like materials or particle systems as part of the same datablock or to make them as a new datablock. What I'm asking is to have an option, when we duplicate an object, to have the duplicated object without the animation (keyframes), currently this is not possible in Blender.

* @slowk1d * Correct. Thinking more about it, I guess it could be interesting to be able to set which data gets in the copy and how (full copy or instance). Could be both in the tools options and Blender preferences for the default behavior.
