SVG Export Capability From Blender Viewport
Could we have a SVG exporter that can export edges, curves, polygons etc from Blender easily? There's Freestyle feature but it's not so useful if you just want to quickly export a set of polygons or curves to svg and to edit in Inkscape (or any other vector editor).
There's a script from the Blenderartists forum ( blenderartists.org/t/svg-output-script/566412/207 ) that's already doing many things rightly but according to Liero, who wrote the script, it can be made much better if an experienced developer optimizes it. As Blender is getting more and more popular and being used in diverse fields, I think the SVG output feature would be useful for many user's workflow.
So could we have this as an official Blender add-on in the trunk?

Tanks for the script, yes, a svg render is really needed in Freestyle, it is part of the 2d Grease Pencil Roadmap too so I suppose this will be included.

* @w791341 * Nice to know that the functionality will be there in future - is it going to be only for Greasepencil.
The script I mentioned is in use for 7 years! Is it possible to streamline it and include it as a default add on in Blender trunk?
Heavens yes please. Maybe even merge with Freestyle SVG.
Would be sweet!
Backing this 100%.
