Render Multiple Regions
This would be amazing to have as right now if you want to render a couple of sections that are spaced apart you will be wasting a lot of time rendering all the elements in between which you don't need. CTRL-ALT-B is available and it can be the second option but it can also have another modifier once you use CTRL-B like it does, for instance, other tools while they are active. CTRL-B and again B so you can enter multiple regions creation and exit by right-clicking.

This is a good idea!
This situation came up for me just now. The full render would take nearly seven hours (I'm on an Intel Mac, so no GPU 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 - FIX THIS, Blender!!!). I need two specific areas re-rendered where I've added some parts. Right now, I have to render each region separately. Being able to add a second region and render them at the same time would save me a fair amount of time.
Would all regions be rendered (preview and final render), or just selected border areas?
@Jason van Gumster: Imagine for instance you render something and you realize some parts of the render have whatever issue and you got to render the entire thing again or you simply want to change a couple of things in the image and they are on each corner, then you have to render each section separately or you can render everything again. This will let you do it in a fraction of the time because you render once. If its develop at any time for final render which is the main purpose why not having it for previewing. I find myself sometimes that I want to preview something and while I am rendering I would like to add another portion... It would be amazing, honestly. Maybe while previewing if you add another portion while rendering the first could just stay put without rendering anymore as a reference so you can retain the rendered portion and add more. If you add several at once then it will render all of them at the same time. To make it more clear you render a portion wait to clean up a bit and then add another one without losing the first one. In the final render, it will render whatever sections you have marked.
@luisburdallo: This doesn't really answer my question, though, does it? I take it to mean that all these separate regions will be rendered at the same time?
@Jason van Gumster: I hope it answers other people questions without even asking. :) Why would you want separate render sections if you cant render at the same time? I've explained 2 possible options and I believe they actually answer your question.
@luisburdallo: Because other people have requested having multiple render borders that they could enable and disable without having to redraw them. I just wanted to make sure this proposal was different from that.
@Jason van Gumster: I think this proposal could be different but I am sure they could all be merged at some point if we all propose something useful.
so has this been developed? it would be a killer feature! so useful
