When denoise can be used in BAKING?
I am waiting and waiting… Of course baking is important and I believe that baking denoise will save a lot of people using low performance device. Are there some difficulties that prevent achieving this?

for what its worth, you can indirectly apply denoise to bakes using the denoise node in the compositor. the algorithm still seems to do quite a decent job on lightmap/ao bakes, its just the headache of setting it up. i ended up making myself a python script that automates all of it, and some of the other baking tools out there might have also added this into the mix!
* @stevemillerband * Yes, the renderlayer doesnt possess baking data... which makes things become complicated..
* @stevemillerband * Theres no way of automatically running running the compositor on baked maps tho. Not a very nice workflow
keep in mind that baking does do texture tricks.
while denoising works on the 2d view of the viewport only.
So its not an easy next step if at all possible.
Denoising doesnt work on the raytrace level on which baking works.
So for an artist the things might look closely related.
For developers those are entirely different topics.
It would be funny though if a developer proved me wrond though i doubt that.
