Create vertex groups from selections directly from the tools
Add option to create vertex groups from selections from modifiers/viewport/right click/etc.. For example you need a vertex group in your modifier. It would be easier if you could just do your selections in edit mode and then in modifier have a option there called "make vertex group from active selection and use that". Press that button and a text menu appears for you to write the name of the vertex group and it's done. Vertex group was created and named and is now used by the modifier.
Now if you need a vertex group for a modifier for example you need to go back and forth between mesh options and modifiers to make one, remember its name and then use it. Why not allow them to be created where you need them?
This same thing could be used anywhere where you can use vertex groups. Nodes (attribute node), modifiers, etc. This is not a huge game changer but in situations when you need to create and reference lots of vertex groups this can really speed things up. It also reduces user errors as you won't accidentally use the wrong vert group for a modifier because you forgot the name or named it wrong.

Yeah. I had something similar in mind during the code quest.
Here is the mock-up I hope it’s clear. The proposal: blender.community/c/today/Mtcbbc/

@george.mitev: Love it! What do you think about having the user name the vertex group or have it named automatically like you have?
@george.mitev: Wow awesome!! want it!!!
@o7216059: It will be an improvement either way, but you may be right, we could borrow the logic from the prompt for new collection.
