Search box to include materials

Hello!

I have a suggestion to have the aweome search box in properties panel to have an option or by default to also include materials from the material panel for quick and easy selection.

Need for such feature comes really handy when your object has over a lot of materials in it.

This can easily happen with Grease Pencil objects when you use texture brushes and every brush creates a new material :)

Cheers!

Are you aware you can bring up a search bar for materials on an object by clicking this little dropdown arrow at the bottom of the panel?

material filter by name

As others mentioned, lists already support search.

Good news though, is that the new lists (TreeView, not UILists), already support what you're asking for! So when the Python API for the new lists is ready and materials and others parts use it, it will be supported out of the box.

You can test this already by searching for Shape Key names in the Properties header search. Shape Keys use the new lists so they show up. Vertex Groups use the old system still so they don't show up yet, but eventually they will.
