Make Join in New Frame CTRL + J instead of Shift + P so it can be one handed.

Did it not used to be CTRL J by default? Shift P is nearly tearing the ligaments in my hand in my attempts to quickly one hand click it. When using geometry nodes, my right hand is staying on the mouse, with my left on the keyboard, the new input for joining in frames isn't intuitive for beginners and distracting. I changed it, but had it been this way when I started blender/geonodes, I would've been discouraged. It's a shortcut that is often used if you want any sort of organization.

The node framing has received quite some changes to make it overall better and simpler to use, hence now the new workflow it to press F to frame a bunch of nodes and immediately give a name to that frame, whereas ⇧ Shift P is only to frame the nodes as used to be done before.

I believe the choice of using ⇧ Shift P is to assimilate it semantically to "parenting" (which is essentially what frame nodes do) and being closer to the right ⇧ Shift key.
IMHO I would have preferred to assign that to ⇧ Shift F to follow the new F key logic.

And not using ⎈ Ctrl J is probably because now J and ⇧ Shift J are to link up nodes sockets.

As explained on Frame Node Improvements — Blender Developers Blog :

[...] frames extensively has been rather annoying for various reasons including hard-to-reach shortcuts ( ⎈ Ctrl J , ⎇ Alt P , F2 ), bad readability of nested frames, and various smaller bugs.

[...]

The most important functionality related to frames has been moved to the F key, which is easy to reach and remember. It has two main functions:

  1. Create a new Frame around the selected nodes, or a new empty frame. This will also open the rename popup where users can start typing right away to set a label. This makes creating labeled frames as easy as it can be, which is good as those help much more with readability than unlabeled frames.
  2. Detach and attach selected nodes while transforming them. This makes moving nodes between frames a breeze, unlike before where frames felt like they got in the way.

The old functionality has been moved to J .

I did change they keybinding, so I don't actively need help, just thought it was a terrible change, worked well already and now needs 2 hands really slowing down the organization process.

The vast majority of keyboards have modifier keys on both left and right, you don't need two hands to make a shortcut on either side of the keyboard. And let's be honest, if you used only the left ones, anything beyond the first half of the keyboard is already too much, that includes anything on J .

I didn't see that f was used now from the shortcut menu when searching for it, thanks

shift p is just a terrible design decision when using left hand keyboard and right hand mouse is the standard, just try flaying open your hand to one hand it
