Auto Delete Faces if merged at the Mirror-Plane
I got troubles, when I use mirrored mesh with Boolean function. If the mesh is closed with faces the mirrored mesh got two faces at the mirroring origin. this causes problems with booleans. The merge or clipping functions does not delete these faces. I thing there should be another checkbox for delete double-faces, or this should work already with merge.

yes, this needs to happen when the "bisect" checkboxes are enabled. They will already do this if the faces actually cross the mirror plane, it's only when they are 100% coplanar with the mirror plane where you have nonmanifold geometry that is created (which, unfortunately- happens very frequently).
