Outliner state sets
Often you want to temporarily modify what's shown in the viewport or render by modifying the eyeball and render icons in the outliner.
The problem is, once you've finished what you were doing, it's not possible to revert the outliner to a previous state. Instead you have to manually re-enable the outliner's various icons, almost as though Blender was designed by a sadist.
A possible solution would be outliner state sets. Basically, when you have the outliner in a state that you'd like to return to, you'd click a 'store outliner state', and the current state would be added to a list. Then the outliner could be reverted to any state by clicking one of the list entries.
This would be particularly handy after using the number keys to isolate a collection, as there's currently no way to revert the outliner after for example pressing the number 1 key to hide all collections except the first one (unless you immediately press ctrl z)
For quick access a user could hold alt whilst typing the index of the outliner state they wish to activate.

you can achieve what you want using View Layers.
