Video Sequencer Editor in 2.8 - The possibilities!
Please consider first reading the complete article here: Link
Considering
- Blender can import 3Dscenes (completely with individual light, camera, shaders, geometry settings)...
- Video editing is the most basic form of story telling (in a digital era)
- Possible collaborative environment remotely could be setup through appending .blend files ....
- Compositing a VSE timeline Globally from those .blend scenes could be extremely beneficial in render times, since EEVEE can now outperform traditional render sequences.
- Changes on a 2D Grease pencil sequence could be modified on the fly and it will not affect the flow for the rest of the strips since it lives in it´s own 3D scene "container" (clip/strip).
- Grading effects over a 3Dscene (realtime) like in Unity post effects...
The list could go on and on. Please consider the VSE as a real powerhouse combination with realtime EEVEE (in today´s industry it could be comparable like cinemachine in Unity //realtime timeline post and animation, camera, effects, color grading, etc..)
Thanks.

This is at least 6 separate proposals bundled into a single one. Please separate them so they can be addressed and discussed individually.
@Jason van Gamester: frankly I don't see any proposals here at all o.0 it just seems to be "VSE is a cool, continue"?
@David McSween: The proposal isn't in the text of the post. You have to follow the link in the first line. I think the text from that link should be use to create individual proposals here.
I can't see the article (Issue with the link?), but I assume you're aware you can add Blender scenes as movie strips directly into the VSE.
