You can simply (in a different scene) add that Scene to the Video Sequencer and press "Reverse Frames".
You can also just render it normally then reverse the output video/image sequence in the VSE and render that out
yeah i agree with that, its not hard. thats pretty much how i do it .
If the abvious solution with vse ain't to your liking, this task sounds more or less a task for a python script than core blender.
