manual pdf format

the manual. Only exists in .pub and .html format. Would be good to have .pdf for off line use.

I'm not against it having a PDF option ; in fact if I remember correctly, PDF used to be available.

But PDF being pretty limited and static, PDF isn't the best option those days (unless of course you have a technical constraint that can't be avoided).
There are many EPUB readers on pretty much all platforms that let you use the manual with all the EPUB benefits. Such as FOSS Readest — Where You Read, Digest and Get Insight .

And to be honest, I feel like most people who ask for a PDF over an EPUB often don't know much about EPUB - if at all. So I suspect most user would prefer using an EPUB if they knew more about it:

PDF EPUB
Support Historical standard, but often requires proprietary or paid software to get more than basic feature coverage. Tons of free and open source tools to read or build EPUBs on all platforms. 80%+ of people are on mobile, and can open an EPUB out of the box.
Layout Fixed layout and style, good for printing and being sure it looks the same everywhere. Requires zooming on small screens. Very limited user adaptability. Reflowable (and can be set to fixed layout too). The render depends on the reader software (and user preference). Adapts content to screen size, avoiding the need to zoom in document. Most readers allow to change font type, size, background color)
Maintenance The export process is generally slower and more resource-intensive due to pagination and rendering. In theory, proofreading is needed to ensure proper formatting, but in practice: the size of the manual and its frequent updates and limited manpower make this unrealistic, resulting in an often subpar final product with variable to poor reading experience. Generated directly from the online manual's HTML and resources, exporting comes essentially for free,  faster and lightweight, requiring little processing. Its dynamic layout eliminates the need for manual proofreading, content remains up to date and with good reading experience without extra effort.

So just convert epub to pdf?

Why do You even want to have it in inferior format?
