Node for Curves to extrude a new point
Video of what I mean by "extrude":
This can be done right now, but the process isn't very straightforward. You have to:
- capture any attributes you want to keep (tilt, radius, normal)
-
convert the curve into a mesh with
Curve to Mesh - perform the extrude on the mesh points
-
convert back with
Mesh to Curve - apply all the attributes back to the mesh
This is the basic version. I didn't even think about curve types, curve handle positions, custom attributes that will be lost in the conversion, the performance hit of doing the mesh conversions back and forth...
A dedicated node is needed for this.

You can convert curve to points and operate on them like duplicates of first/last points, insertion of new points between original or even concatenations between curves. After this you can conver points back to curves with any order.
