Geometry Nodes can provide a "Location" field
Geometry nodes currently provides fields such as Position, ID, etc. It can additionally provide "Location" to capture the absolute position of the Geometry in the World space.

I'm not sure that the two difference in the words "Location" and "Position" make it clear that one is in local space and the other in object space. Anyway, with the self object node , the basics of this feature should be possible already anyway.
