Assembling the animation editors in one editor.

// Dopesheet and Timeline could be one and the same. // With acces towards the FCurve-editor and Action-editor and Shape-Editor 003-DopeActionFcurveShape.png // Some Parameters should be visible on all these.

There is already the ability to switch between Graph Editor and Dope Sheet via the View menu, or CTRL Tab hotkey. The NLA is a completely different thing altogether, so it wouldn't really fit in with everything else. There are also I think plans to merge the Timeline and Animation editors already.

but.. there is already [Ctrl][Tab] shortcut to switch Graph-Editor and Dope Sheet/ActionEditor And for timeline-Dope switching is [Shift][F12] (but You can change it to whatever).

btw And why do You use Timeline in same area ?

Hi 'zuorion'; there are options in the Timeline you won't find in the Dopesheet. Both could be one. // Have you seen CenekStrichel his CendaTools??, so many ideas and scripts we use in studios. Especialy the "Auto-Frame-F-Curve" github.com/CenekStrichel/CendaTools/wiki/Auto-Frame-F-Curve and the "Animation-Editor-Switcher". Ideas like this should be looked at by the Development dept. in depth.

Yea, but i keep Timeline usually in bottom, while i'm working in other area or minimalized to single strip. I also use adhoc workspaces instead of changing layouts. So i dont often change editor types.

Anyway, dont Animation-Editor-Switcher does the job for you? Or You think that this should be by default for everyone?

Yea i knew about cenda tools but i forgot about few, thanks for mentioning it.

btw since you mentioned addons: are you aware of animaide? github.com/aresdevo/animaide/

I know about AnimAide, yes, nice functions but for me, just a lot more buttons more to search for. Cenda his tools, and a lot of other free add-ons, are often pointing towards 'UI-things' that could way be thought of better, optimised, are missing. Then again ...., Blender is free :-)
