"Blender Development" Add-On For VS-Code By Jacques Lucke
There is a "Blender Development" Add-On version "v0.0.17" by a person called "Jacques Lucke". That is no longer in active development (according to their own documentation). Something similar had been proposed in blender.community/c/rightclickselect/vYbbbc/ . I wish someone senior to take this into consideration and continues working on this extension. I am a beginner, and I am not affiliated with that add-on in any manner.

It may not be under active development (because Jacques is a member of the Blender development team and is quite busy himself these days), but the extension is open source and on github, and works great (I use it every day).
Thanks for informing that. I had not used it, thinking that it is outdated.
It isn't actively developed by Jacques Lucke himself, but people are still committing new things now and then, see the GitHub commits page: github.com/JacquesLucke/blender_vscode/commits
What kind of changes would you like to see on this?
Nothing. I was just informing it. I am a beginner. If the extension works in the latest versions of Blender and VS Code, I think that information should be included in Status section of the page ( github.com/JacquesLucke/blender_vscode ). This is just a suggestion.
There's nothing on the status page that indicates that it wouldn't work with the latest versions of Blender, and you can see right that there on the status page that there are pull requests merged in that are only a few months old. I get that you're a beginner, but maybe actually give something a shot before sounding the alarm 😉
The notice about active development is more about the extension being 'feature complete', there's nothing left to "develop" other than maintenance, which is being handled by the aforementioned pull requests.
It could, but usually it's the other way around. People put notes when things might NOT work as expected. Because the default expectation is that it works.
Here the main dev just indicates he isn't actively developing it, but the community keeps it alive. So, basically, take it as a "use at your own risk". Though here the only risk is being provided a slightly outdated addon template x)
Thanks for being informative and supportive. Should I "close" this thread or something (like you do in Github when an issue is resolved)?
You can edit your post and set the Development status to Archived .
Done. Thanks.
Just do everything in N++ :)
wtf.. no.
