Progressive save render
Hello every one!
¿It's possible to implement an auto-save render while thre process is running? I'm trying this on other software at work (Maxwell Render) and it's a really useful tool.
I'm propposing a new subpanel to output panel like this to achieve this function.

It is possible currently (we're using it on Spring open movie), just no good UI for it yet. Basically Cycles allows you to render 'chunks' of samples (for example first render from 0 samples to 100, tomorrow from sample 101 to 200, etc).
Hopefully there will be UI for it at some point, but at least internally it's implemented in Cycles core.
* @Pablo Vazquez * So we will wait and hope :)
* @Pablo Vazquez * Ciao Pablo! Is this feature that you guys are using?
* @Pablo Vazquez * Can you post a tutorial about how to use it? Looks very useful.
That seems like a nice idea, hit render, go out on the town, come back and see which level of samples is best for you. +1
* @daniellapalme * We use it in Maxwell Render to review renders in other PCs wrhiting outputs to network drive.
How could this live with tiled rendering? I made this proposal where the consequences would lead to this plus a possible solution
I think, there is more common way: ability to pause render and to save result as it is. And then custom script, that can do saves as yo wish.
