Exclude from View Layer (checkbox) needs to remember Hide in Viewport (eyeball) state

A is much more likely than B to be clicked on when I (or the people I'm showing blender to) want to hide an entire collection.

There is nothing wrong with that.

The problem is that when turn off the eyballs of a few objects and then hide the collection with the checkbox and then unhide it, all of the eyballs are turned back on again. This is enraging for people familiar with Photoshop and other programs.

This problem does not happen with the other icons:

If you want to join the conversation, I'm sure this topic has been mentioned in the current GSoC project on the Outliner: devtalk.blender.org/t/gsoc-2020-outliner-discussion-and-suggestions/13178/467

I agree, this resetting is offputting.

It appears to be a bug, and the developers are aware of it and hopefully working on a fix. projects.blender.org/blender/blender/issues/87111
