The ability to disable automatic switching modes in different workspaces.

By default, Blender has workspaces, but If in 3d view change mode and comeback to workspace with changed mode later you will see that mode changed by default mode. But it would be nice if it was possible to turn off this switching, because it’s easier to take an existing workspace from the list and change it than go to the end of the workspaces list and look for the workspace you need and adjust its position in the list.

Properties Editor > Active Tool > Workspace tab

From here, set Mode within the Workspace Tab to Objectmode. You will have to do this with all the Workspace tabs. Now save the current file as the startup file.

Each time you switch, it will go back to object mode. So it only does half of what you wanted. Though now you don't have to worry about the selected object/s going into other modes other than Object mode.
