Touching sliders/custom properties should select bones they're attached to
Advanced rigs will have a bone or bones, with custom properties, to control stuff like shapekeys or modifiers. Which can then be showed on the t-menu with scripting.
To animate these values, you can press i on the sliders, but to actually fine-tune their values when "Only show selected bones" is active, you'll have to find the respective bone to be able to edit it further.
If when editing the values of these properties the respective bone got selected. It would speed up the animation process, as you would have their values show up on the dope sheet/graph editor immediately. This is a quality of life feature, which i think we need way more of
Not having "only show selected bones" active gives you too much information at once, so this addition would be a nice middle-ground

I understand the need, but I am not sure this is the way to go.
If used at the same time as Only Selected , then selecting any channel in animation editors will change the visible channels, this isn't the wanted behavior most of the time.
Maybe this could be an operator accessible from the channel's contextual menu instead. Much like you can right-click a collection to then select it or its children.
