Shortcut to toggle viewer node
I guess this doesn't need much explanation. I would love to be able to set a shortcut to toggle the viewer node in geometry nodes, to quickly switch between regular output and the viewer for comparison. Currently, you can set a shortcut to clear the viewer, but then you need to click the eye icon on the node itself to turn it back on.

You can assign one yourself. In the overlay dropdown in the 3D Viewport, right click on the checkbox to toggle Viewer Node, Assign Shortcut.
That's a great suggestion. I completely forgot that there is a checkbox for the viewer too. Unfortunately, you need to hover over the 3D view to be able to toggle it, which is kinda annoying if you're currently working in the Geometry Node Editor. And I don't know if this is a bug, but in my current Blender installation, the checkbox doesn't seem to turn off the viewer node (3.6.0), while I remember that it worked in the past.
That is for the overlay, not the node. The viewer node would still show its input geometry.
Not a solution imo, since this does not toggle the geometry or its node, only the visual overlay.
