Custom Editors
Hello.
I want to have the following capability in blender: the ability to create your own types of editors. It is necessary to create a Custom Editor, which will be equal to the existing editors (3D Viewport, Text Editor, Timeline...).
What will the Custom-Editor look like? This will be a window that will represent a canvas (pixels) in which you can create any interface using python. It will also be possible to bind handlers and hotkeys to this window.
What is it for? With the help of Custom-Editors, you can create add-ons of absolutely any type. Starting with a bitmap editor with support for layers, like in Photoshop, and ending with a completely new system of nodes, which, in principle, does not resemble the standard system of nodes.
In order to create your own node system, at the moment you have to use workarounds that are not always convenient.

Look like the outliner from the 2.40 version {attachment blender240outlinerJPG} I think a custom editor could be great but to display anything the user want, not only nodes related stuffs
I agree. I've been wanting to make a fake "channel box" for a long time. This could do it.
