different 3d animation interpolations

i think its about time the interpolation of blender should change. im thinking of still having the old interpolation system but it would be beneficial if the new interpolation things dont work for what you want to do, but different interpolation options would be nice. like the auto physics system cascadeur uses. its simpler to animate with and it reduces the time it takes for animation to be made. It would be nice to have interpolation options so animation can be easier since it takes uo alot of time.

Please avoid asking to copy a proprietary software That's potential for troubles (see this post for more context on that). Plus it doesn't make a good feature proposal on its own, since it assumes that both community members and developers are already familiar with what you refer to, which you can't expect.

Blender also has its own workflows and design goals, so what works elsewhere might not be a good fit. It’s much more helpful to focus on the actual problem and how Blender could improve to solve it.

The goal is to make your idea clear enough that anyone from any background can understand the need and benefits, and that a developer passing by can quickly assess how feasible it might be without needing to do more research.

Try structuring your proposal like this:

  • What’s the problem, and why does it matter?
For example: “With many keyframes, the Graph Editor gets too cluttered, which makes it hard to adjust animations efficiently.”

  • What are current workarounds, and why aren't they enough?
Mention what you’ve tried; like filters, channel muting, or custom views ; and explain what limitations they have.

  • What’s your proposal, and how it fits in Blender?
Describe the feature or change you’re suggesting, how it would work, and how it could fit into Blender’s interface or workflow. Mockups are gold here. For example, as a toggle or a new option in an existing editor.
