Mirror modifier improvements

There's a couple of must-haves I think the mirror modifier needs:

A preview of the UVs a mirror modifier can produce would be very helpful, as well as options to mirror shapekeys the same way you can vertex groups.

Also, its very difficult trying to make something like a shirt with unique wrinkles while using the mirror modifier.

You have to resort to the other mirror methods (which are a little buggy and can get out of sync quickly) which aren't as reliable, and also need more work down the line (vertex groups, etc)

Multi-res modifier also becomes troublesome because it is unable to be used after a mirror.

It would be very nice to be able to make edit-mode/sculpt adjustments post-mirror somehow in order to solve that major issue, without having to compromise by not using/applying the mirror modifier

Thank you

There is operator to mirror shape keys. Unfortunetly currently shapekeys cant work with modifiers that modify geometry, so that not mirror's issue, but shapekey implementation. To workaround that You could use addons.

Multi-res cant work on mesh generated by modifiers, that wont change in near/mid future. You have to use symmetry tools or resymmetrise operations in sculpting mode.

Mirror modifier isn't meant to be used with sculpting anyway - that is what you use the axis buttons on the top for, symmetry while in sculpt mode.
