Border selection
It will be great to have a border selection like many others 3d software have it .
it will help a lot modeling . and for sure it will help developers for future add-on .

Blender ( by default ) can't do this well. Blender has option to select open edge loop if you click
Alt+LMBfew times, but if you need to select multiple of such open edge loops withShift+you can't ( again - by default. ) Again I talk about default Blender sometimes not the best tool...But you can change keymap settings a bit or create new keymap for this action and achieve same reult as Border selection do in "others 3d software"

what do You mean by "border selection"?
Border aka "open edges loop" selection - when you select closed loop of open edges by single click. Here my old GIF from 3D Max , here I show here Element selection and then Border selection .
