a "seamless" shader

hello

it could be cool if we have a new vector shader that only do seam blending and mixing with different method, his only role is to make simple anti-seam action like the blend factor when a projection method is put on box mode for example

or doing some texture interpolation and so on

thanks

Why not going directly to the next level? Texture synthesis :D

@pietrobelgioco: now this would be useful. If we were going to have a seamless tiling node, I would hope it was more sophisticated than just feathered blending as OP has proposed.

There is one trick, but he lacks the ability to shoot lighting, like a texturewerke adon in the gimp. youtube.com/watch

@sargast2: thanks this is exactly what i want , maybe if the dev could make an official shader with this technique , it could be nice

@dodododorian: Yes, not only seamless node, but if they added another node, like addon texturewerke in gimp, denoise node, smooth node like in substance designer, it's much increase power of cycles

This could be a solution if it could be automated. So it will automatically do what the guy does in the video.

Some other algorithms from Substance Player that work pretty well:

This would definitely be useful, but I think even more useful would be a proper gaussian blur node. With a blur node, you could easily make a seamless texture like this (by layering two tiling offsets, one with a feathered alpha) in addition to soooo much more.

So basically 'make seemless'
