Alternative panoramic image projections

Cycles currently features panoramic render output (they are great), but only for a few sub-types: Mirror ball, Fisheye Equisolid, Fisheye Equidistant, and Equirectangular.

I propose to add Cylindrical, Mercator, Cubic, Stereographic (little planet), Orthographic, and possibly more obscure ones like Miller (archviz), Lambert (archviz), Vedutismo, Transverse Mercator and others. See this Link for a description of these and other projections.
