Left Click Timeline
Currently as of 11/30/2018, in Blender 2.8 you have to right-click in the timeline to move the timeline's cursor. I think it should be left click by default.

Left Click on key - Select it

Left Click on empty space - deselect all
Left Click and drag on empty space - border select And it turns out that for such a scheme, the right mouse button fits well. I proposed this for geometry and objects to, wherever I can.
And also Lclick select and move keyframe.
Already implemented.
