Project Folder Images/Icons
This is for the DISTANT FUTURE when Blender eventually gets the "project awareness" feature.
There should be a special file name (like __project_icon.png) that replaces the folder icon when browsing for projects.
Some people have many many very very similarly named projects and having an image of the project instead of the generic folder icon is a much faster way of finding the project you want to work on.

folder.png is already a standard, no need to use another specific name
What standard are you talking about? Is that already a thing in Blender?
It's a standard in lots of softwares, I think it started back in the late 90s I.E. in music library softwares to indicate a folder's art cover. You could just set a picture name as
folder.pngand it would be automatically be used as that folder's cover. And to this day, it is common practice for most software that have a "use that picture as its folder's cover" feature to use such naming for the picture file, or alternatively
cover.png.Blender does no use this, but that would be a simpler and more common name than
__project_icon.pngI literally do not care what the file name is. I just want the feature.
Yes, that goes without saying! 😄
