Medeek Truss in Blender?

I am Nathaniel P. Wilkerson the creator of the Medeek Truss extension within SketchUp. I am considering porting this extension into Blender as a dedicated Blender plugin or extension. My question to the Blender community is whether or not this is something that they would find interesting and useful. Do people do architectural modeling within Blender? Would they have need for this type of plugin?

I have postponed this port for a number of years simply because I did not have the time nor the energy however recently I have found additional resources and personnel that can help me with this, so the calculus has changed.
