Blender 2.8 assumes pretty wide screens..

Although so far the menu's have been revised a lot, I'd like to address an issue with the 3d viewport,

The new icons are OK, they can be made small, other viewport areas require a pretty wide screen. I'm talking about the top bar of the 3d Viewport. It would be nice if those could become multiline. so the screen can be made smaller while still having access to those settings.

Another thing that could be improved is that new details popup when objects get created. How about putting it to the left (over icon bar), instead of after the icon bar.

I think this is already planned to be implemented in one way or another since once the screen becomes to small and the right side of the top bar disappears, a plus indicator gets added that doesn't do anything. Maybe it will in the near future.

This proposal could real use a mock-up or two. :)

@Jason van Gumster: Thats up to the creativity of the programmers, and designers. I dont know what is possible in the pannels so i think programmers should start there, next designers later, it might be a major change to handle this in various areas, or just a common thing to change it all at once. Depending on the code base.

As more people will gonna use blender, this likely will be a more common call to better addres things not fitting well in the screen.

@Peter Boos: This is a cop-out answer. It's not sufficient to say "make it better." It doesn't give us much to discuss or anything specifically actionable for a developer or designer to address. If you make a mock-up, it at least gives everyone a common frame of reference and something to talk about.

Developers and designers have to put a lot of effort into bringing ideas to reality. The least we can do is put in a similar amount of effort into our proposals.
