Override UV Color for Unwraping

It would be very good if you could with one click override all textures with UV Grid when you are doing unwrapping.

material overrides in general would be useful. Maybe you want to get a quick lighting-only render of your scene? just apply a scene override material that affects everything! things like this are easy to do with a layer-based materials system, like the one in Modo.

As I understand this proposal isn't about rendering or shading. It's just asking a way to automatically texture the object with a checker map when you're unwraping.

Currently you have to create a material for that object, put an image texture node and create a checker map and then assign that map to the right node. While all this could be done in a simple check box somewhere in the UI.

* @-L0Lock- * Well, my point is that if you had a general material override, you could do both and it would be infinitely more useful. From a technical perspective, the same work needs to be done under the hood.

* @testure * This is in development, hopefully will be in by 2.81 or 2.82

This would be pretty trivial to implement as an add-on.
