Blender "Always on top," option for floating windows
In software like Reaper, there is nice little option for floating windows that allow them to always stay on top of the user interface so, for example: I could have user preferences open in a floating window and click something in the main UI but the preferences window would still stay on top.

There is a Floating Window Addon (Free/Paid) that I use daily to have multiple windows open, and it includes a setting to turn the "Floating Aspect" off and on. Well recommended by me as my way to manage multiple screens. blendermarket.com/products/floating-windows---the-missing-feature-of-blender-2
