Curve points bevel / fillet option

Hi,

I would very much welcome a bevel / fillet option for curve points. This would greatly ease the creation of perfectly rounded corners in curves without having to manually subdivide segments and positioning the extra points to turn a sharp corner into a rounded corner.

The function could work by selecting one or more curve points and pressing Control + B, like the mesh bevel keyboard shortcut.

Options for the Bevel / Fillet function would be a radius, and a straight / rounded checkbox (giving you a choice between a straight chamfer or a rounded fillet).

Last but not least, it would be fantastic if this option would work on both Bezier and NURBS curve points.

The functionality is currently available through this add-on .

Thanks,

Metin

How would this work? Would it be activated like the Bevel operator on meshes (<kbd>Ctrl</kbd>+<kbd>B</kbd>)? If so, I'd definitely suggest adding that to your proposal. Also, if you could include mock-up images that show before/after this operator in action, that would be a big help to other users and developers.

Added the shortcut. I'll see if I can find the time for a mockup.

An arc-of-circle fillet is currently available as a GN node, but not as an operator. It would be nice to make it available as an editing tool, even if only in 2D curves

Yes please, simple chamfer and fillet tools next to extrtude etc in edit mode. Draw curve could also just add a new point on an existing curve.
