Set Origin - Time saving feature
Hello,
a thing that I do very often in Blender is setting the origin object to either bottom, top, left, or right side of an object. I do not have a clue about how complicated is to develop similar feature, but I think it is something that could speed up my workflow.

I think this could very well be combined with the idea of toggle buttons as a drop down menu, instead of the strangely unappealing Transform Options Menu! {attachment options.jpg}
This should be improved yeah... C4D even has XYZ sliders for that.... 😉
there is one option for bottom with ctrl+alt+x but having option for all side is good.
Extending this to add a "setting" for the "default origin location". If only so it can be set to match other programs which we may be using along with this program. (Sketch-up, for instance, favors 0,0,0 as the origin of all creations. Such that all creations are in a "positive numeric range".)
You also have this addon which give you the opportunity to put origin to the lowest part of your mesh

You can also use the G to do this by turning on “Affect Only Origins” and then combining it with “Snap to increment/vertex”.
Yep but there are more than 5 main positions even though Bottom Center is needed 95% (at least for me).
