transform orientation and widget options
When a window is split into multiple 3d views, it would be great to have individual control of the transform orientations and widget choices.
In 2.79 you could have global move in one 3d view and local rotation on the same bone in a different view. I would use this constantly when animating or set dressing. I've recently upgraded my hardware so I can finally mess around with 2.90, and I can't find this option anywhere. The widget choice and transform orientation seem to be a global change now.
If I'm wrong and this is possible in 2.90, I hope someone can let me know, and if that has in fact changed, then this would be a feature request.
Thanks all

Sorry to bump my own thread but at this rate I'm going to be stuck in 2.79 forever.
Removing independent control of widget and orientation from split windows would be a major degradation of the 3d viewport functionality. I feel like there has to be a way to set it so when you split the 3d view they aren't just copies of each other.
Is it because the transform widgets went from being a part of the viewport to being tools in the toolshelf and there is no way to have separate tool choices in separate split windows?
Imagine you're animating a camera or an IK hand. You would want to be able to move the camera on it's own y axis but also grab it on the global z axis. while the keyboard shortcuts work for many situations, other times you want a widget to grab and make small adjustments.
To have an animation function that took zero time in 2.79 be hidden behind multiple clicks and menus in 2.9 really confuses me. I can't be the only one who has hit this wall. There's got to be something in the preferences that I'm missing.
While I disagree with many of the changes in 2.8 and beyond, the only two deal breakers were layers and this widget/orientation thing. Thanks to the people on this forum I was made aware of the collections manager addon and now my big question is if I can get that control of widgets and orientations back. If the answer is no then I can figure out my own workflow, but I'm looking an answer still.
Thanks to everyone who makes blender great. I hate to complain.
