MacBook touchbar implementation
Hi all, I got a Macbook pro recently and rapidly realized that there is no touchbar implementation at all, which basically create dead space and waste possibility for better UX and shortcuts on macbook. So I decided to go ahead and implement the touchbar itself: twitter.com/newincpp/status/1178076950495145988 Now that I have minimal implementation code working I'm not sure how I should implement it so I'm asking here. I have multiple idea:
First would be the the left sidebar to appear on the touchbar, this way you can just hide it and use this touchbar to rapidely select tools while in full screen. That would be become really awesome in workflow such as sculpting where we need to change tools often and shortcuts aren't really that good (by default)
Second would be to make the favourite button directly accessible from the touchbar (with respect of the context sensitive options). This way we could speed really speedup some process on the fly (and including building tools by rightclicking and add to favourites but it wouldn't be as good as having it by default with easy to recognise logos)
A third option would be to have the contextual tool menu (the one appearing at the bottom of the viewport) appearing on the touchbar so for exemple when you loop cut an object you don't have to open the menu to modify the number of cut after clicking, just slide on the button on your bar just as it is a shortcut (but easy to use). Note: I'm not a fan of the last as some of those context menu could be really massive (e.g. tree generator or cell division)
PS: I'm also open to smart alternative idea

I propose putting the "Render" button to the touchbar =)
* @damian winnichenko * well it won't really improve any workflow efficiency IMO. As it's a button you just click and wait for hours do you don't really get any improvement over a faster access. fn+F12 is good enough for this task don't you agree ?
Hello! I have a few questions for you! Where can I contact yourself?
When you are doing animations, the timeline would be very helpful to have there.
You might want to create a discussing on devtalk.blender.org/ and contact Julian Eisel
* @Eitan * good idea, will do !
