Bake Textures With Alpha Transparency

I've been having problems with this for a really long time. I'd love to be finally able to use blender to bake image textures that include alpha. An example of this would be when processing vegetation (as in the attached picture) You can see that the actual mesh is layered on top of what I'm trying to bake, and the alpha just turns to black.

Please please please add this as a feature, I hate jumping around in other software to achieve this.

Below is an example with some foliage I'm working on. Let's say I want to combine these leaves and bake the diffuse texture OR normal map etc. etc....

In case anyone is wondering, I managed to get around this issue by rendering what i needed from the a camera rather than baking selected to active. Basically made a new camera with the needed dimensions (in this case 2048x2048), and ticked the needed render boxes to get the outputs i needed. It's still a pretty crappy bug though I'd love to have this fixed.

Yeah I’ve seen articles dating back to around 2017 I believe stating the same issue and nothing has changed, hence my proposal here. :)

Duplicating proposals doesn't do any good, it just divides the votes again and drowns every proposal in more posts.

Imagine if everyone on this website just reposted the same proposals all the time for every month it isn't implemented into Blender.

I would agree with you, but at the same time, i'm new to this website (not new to blender itself). I don't know if these issues really get resolved since they were posted 2 and 1 year ago accordingly. It seems more like a BUG to me, because I would never see a scenario in which you would want your cutout geometry overlayed on top of your other geometry based on the alpha mask. I think its just a matter of having the bake rays ignore transparency, but im not sure. In any case, I would hope this serves as a reminder? If people want this bug fixed.
