Sculpt - expanded options for Pose brush
Currently, with the pose brush in Blender if you position your two dots or length of brush slightly off you have undo and try again. So its a destructive onetime brush operation. What I would like to propose is that you could adjust the dots positions and tweak the lengths/number of segments as you are working and move /rotate your view around the object.
The dots would remain where you last left them. Sort of how masks do not disappear when you use another brush. You could clear the dots afterwards like you would a sculpt mask. This would be a checkbox option as lots of users would only need the current method in Blender right now.
Full disclaimer... I was watching Zbrush's presentation of new pose brush style features they added yesterday and thought Blender could improve a bit. 17 minutes into this video they show the pose brush they have. youtube.com/watch

What about when setting the "Deformation Target" to Face Sets. That is what the setting was meant for, to define points in the pose brush chain via face set boundaries.
So afaiks this proposal is already implemented.
Why do not use the pose brush with weight paint/mask maybe... that way it acts like a rigging.
